Student Employees and Student Temporary Service Employees are subject to all DePaul University Policies & Procedures where “Student Employee” is in the scope of the policy, including but not limited to the following information provided below. Enrollment Status

On–campus jobs are available only to students who are currently enrolled at DePaul.

Work Hours

U.S. Citizens/Permanent Residents student employees are limited to working a maximum of 25 hours per week. During school breaks and Summer Quarter(s) student employees’ hours are not restricted.

Non–immigrant students in F–1 or J–1 status (international students) are limited to working 20 hours per week as mandated by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). During school breaks and Summer Quarter(s) student employees’ hours are not restricted, however International Students must first check with International Student and Scholar Services (ISS) before working more than 20 hours

Federal I–9 Form

The federal I–9 form verifies your identity and eligibility to work in the United States. You are required to complete this form and provide the appropriate identification within three business days of the date employment begins. For acceptable forms of identification, please review the I–9 list of acceptable documents (PDF, page 9).

Student Agreement

For use of the DePaul University Career Center and Office of Student Employment Services

The DePaul University Career Center is committed to complying with the ethical standards of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and expects students and employers to be honest and professional in the internship and job search process.

All students who choose to participate in Career Center and Office of Student Employment services must abide by the student agreement.
